Stop talking and Make Movements

You know when you wake up and have a great idea? Then you run off and tell all of your friends about this amazing idea. Talk about how you’re going to implement it. Maybe you even start the beginning stage and then suddenly you get busy. There are other things going on. You talk yourself out of this great idea because of some unforeseen fear. Now that amazing idea has just become a distant memory.

You don’t need more money. You don’t need more connections. You don’t need anything that you don’t already have. You have the idea.

Things don’t make movements, Movements make things.

I’m going to start taking my own advice and do just that. Working on the movement. As one of my career changes, I was a substitute teacher. As I’m sure anyone with any connection to children, or memory of their school years, can relate, there are bullies. Some of them are worse than others, but either way you have children that are not comfortable in what should be a safe environment. Especially nowadays where everything is digital, which brings the bullying out of the classroom into every aspect of this child’s life.

I can’t stand bullying!! So I’m going to start a movement to help make it less appeasing to children. If it’s not cool to bully, maybe we won’t have as many. If kids understand other children’s perspectives, maybe we can produce a more understanding generation.
